With New Years resolutions starting to fade or forgotten I am beginning to shed some light on a few things that I wrote down at the start of the New Year. My "to do list" of 2014 is what I would like to call it. I have come up with a few things that I would like to accomplish this year. As I complete them I will post about them and share with whoever dares to read about it.
I have always wanted to Journal but didn't have the discipline. Therefore, this year my #1 on my "to do list" is to start a blog.
2014 "to do list"
#1 Create a Blog
#2 Go Skydiving
#3 Lose weight or better yet reach my BMI goals
#4 Save Money
#5 Take some Spanish classes
#6 Travel outside of the USA
#7 Become a Critical Care Nurse
#8 Pay off my Credit Card debt
#9 Go on Vacation
#10 Run in a "Color Run"
The first thing about making resolutions or a "to do list" is to make sure that it's realistic. Never set yourself up for failure, especially when it comes to personal achievements.
"You are your worst critic", they say but it doesn't have to be that way. I want to be someone I like and be proud of, not in the prideful sense we know to be bad but in a delightful way.
It is important to set goals and have something to work for or look forward to.
For me I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital and I am usually under high stress. I have to make time that is free from all of that. Time to relax and enjoy for myself. Sunshine is powerful medicine and if I am off and it's a nice sunny day you can bet I am outside soaking up the rays.
My focus is to encourage others. My job is to help others. My joy is to be with others.
May my list be completed and my adventures be blessed!
